The FINEST team enjoyed a great meeting in Dresden end of November at the 4TransferLab of TU Bergakademie Freiberg. A big thank-you to the entire team (Anja, Katrin, Stephan, etc.) for hosting us. In addition, one part of the meeitng was dedicated to introduce FINEST into “public encounter” in order to discover possibilities to disseminate the results of FINEST to the broader public by pop-up science or other formats of scientific communication.
On the day before the actual project meeting, the PhD candidates as well as several PI’s paid a visit to FCM (Freiberg Compound Materials), one of the the world leading suppliers of wafers. Thanks a lot as well to FCM’s manager for presenting the company and giving very interesting insights into the processing technology, and waste management system.
On the third day the PI’s received specialized training in science communication, which was valuable for all from early stage researchers to senior scientists and professors.
